The expression of HrsHMS00840 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 leads to adult wings presenting an upward curvature.

Knockdown of HrsHMS00840 driven in the class IV dendritic arborizing sensory neuron ddaC by Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 leads to mild disruptions in pruning at 18hr after puparium formation, with minor delay and clearance defects.

Intraluminal vesicles inside MVBs or lysosomes (MVBLs) are almost completely absent in male secondary cells expressing HrsHMS00840 under the control of Scer\GAL4spi-NP0261. Maturing MVBLs (mMVBLs) are larger than controls. The number of immature late endosomes (iLEs) is similar to controls but the number of mMVBLs per secondary cell is reduced. Exosome secretion into the accessory lumen gland is reduced compared to controls when HrsHMS00840 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4dsx.KI.

The nuclei of accessory gland secondary cells expressing HrsHMS00840 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP7397 are increased in size compared compared to neighbouring main cell nuclei.
