The expression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 results in significant decreases in both the number and size of third instar larval circulating crystal cells, as compared to controls.

Expression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4E(spl)m6-BFM.PF leads to significantly increased numbers of abdominal lateral adult muscle precursor cells in third instar larvae, as compared to controls.

Overexpression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa using Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in a mild disruption of wing veins.

Expression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa using Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in significant mortality.

Overexpression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa using Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in a mild wing phenotype, with vein thickening especially near the wing margins.

Expression of Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU consistently results in an increased number of macrochaetae.

When Su(dx)Scer\UAS.cCa is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 at 25oC tarsi are truncated and extra sex combs are seen. The joints in the tarsal segment are almost completely eliminated, though some residual joint material can be seen.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, ectopic wing veins and wing margin loss are observed. The wing is broadened due to an increased number of cells between wing vein L3 and L4 (i.e. along the AP boundary). The effect is particularly noticeable proximally. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, ectopic wing veins occur but there is no effect on the wing margin.
