Expression of Cenp-CHMS01171 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 results in dramatic loss of germline stem cells (GMC) in adult testes, whereas expression under Scer\GAL4C587 leads to GMC differentiation defects. Scer\GAL4bam.T:Hsim\VP16-driven expression gives rise to polyploid cells in the testes.
