Expression of Gug66QC.Scer\UAS in the adult eye under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PT results in degeneration, characterised by loss of photoreceptor cells.

Expression of Gug66QC.Scer\UAS in the glia under the control of Scer\GAL4Eaat1.PR results in reduced animal viability.
