        Expression detected in three cool-responsive sensory neurons in the arista.

        ScerGAL4brv1-NP4486 labels a subset of mechanosensory neurons of the second antennal segment, three cilitated neurons at the base of the arista which are activated by cold temperatures and which project to the VP3 glomeruli of the antennal lobe. ScerGAL4brv1-NP4486 also labels around 15 to 20 neurons in the sacculus region.
