Detailed Description

Expressing Prosβ5HMS00119 under the control of Scer\GAL4VP16.mat.αTub67C induces a thicker F-actin rim in egg chamber ring canals.

Expressing Prosβ5HMS00119 under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA leads to fuzzy and clustered mitochondria in the third instar larval fat body (as assessed by MitoGFP).

The expression of Prosβ5HMS00119 under the control of Scer\GAL4Gli.PU leads to occasional bulging of peripheral nerves associated to an increase in the number of subperineurial glial cell nuclei, as compared to controls.

Expression of Prosβ5HMS00119 RNAi under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in egg chamber growth arrest and eventual degeneration and before then display dramatic thickening of the F-actin cytoskeleton, kel protein accumulation and decreased lumen diameter in the nurse cell ring canals compared to controls.

The nurse cell ring canal phenotype (thickening of the F-actin cytoskeleton, smaller lumen diameter) observed in female flies expressing Prosβ5HMS00119 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 is significantly enhanced by combination with kelDE1 in heterozygous state.
