The expression of dawHMS01110 under the control of Scer\GAL4NP1624 during adulthood (under the additional control of Gal80{ts]) induces a progressive decrease in the number of hub cells in the testes.

Adults with Scer\GAL4αTub84B.Switch.PK or Scer\GAL4da.Switch.PT and dawHMS01110, fed with RU486 to activate expression, show extended lifespan compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW dawHMS01110 adults, but not Scer\GAL4Switch1.106 dawHMS01110 adults, show extended lifespan compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW-mediated expression of dawHMS01110 retards the normal decline in flight activity seen in aging flies, and delays the normal increase in protein aggregates and the normal decrease in lysosomes/autophagic vacuoles within muscle.

Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW-mediated expression of dawHMS01110 reduces the level of circulating Ilp2 protein in the hemolymph.

Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW-mediated expression of dawHMS01110 does not affect female fecundity.
