Third instar larvae expressing Piezo^GD10301 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4^ppk.1.9 display hyposensitive behavioral response (lengthened latency till response to 46[o]C thermal probe stimulus) in a thermal nociception assay. Piezo^GD10301 RNAi expression also leads to significantly decreased dendrite coverage in the ddaC dorsal multidendritic neurons compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 may result in semi-lethality, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 results in duplication of bristle hairs on the notum in 0% or 0-10% of the Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 60-70% of the Scer\GAL4^pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.
