The mutant chromosome retained a 'GC' dinucleotide in this position, so it is not possible to distinguish between:
- del of first 8bp: GCGTAGGA
- del last 8bp: GTAGGAGC
- del of middle 8bp: CGTAGGAG
8 bp deletion, resulting in frame-shift from codon 294 and the introduction of a STOP codon at position 334 (prior to the WD repeat-encoding region).

Heitzler, who is an author of FBrf0131258, raising the possibility that ebiΔ1 and ebiCC4 are in fact the same allele, but that different labs produced conflicting sequencing results/analysis.
