Detailed Description

Male BG00010BG00010 mutants show an increased lifespan compared to controls. No change in lifespan is seen in females.

Starvation response is unaffected in 1 week male flies, but reduced compared to controls at 6 weeks, whereas females show increased resistance at 1 week and reduced resistance at 6 weeks.

Chill coma recovery time is similar to controls in one week and 6 week males. Females show improved recovery times at both one week and 6 weeks.

Male flies show improved climbing ability at one week but no difference from controls is seen at 6 weeks. Females have a similar climbing ability to controls at 1 week but fitness is improved at 6 weeks.
