Expression of PlexBEcTM.UAS.Tag:MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR37G12 (constitutive or in single cell MARCM clones) leads to some processes of P-Fr neurons innervate the dorsal fan-shaped body layer 6, cross many single-column boundaries and expand laterally to occupy a much larger region than in more ventral layers; some P-Fr processes innervate the ellipsoid body; some P-Fr processes expand along the D-V in the medial fan-shaped body (mFB) while segregation of P-Fr processes into multiple columns within the mFB is largely preserved when compared to controls. MARCM and MCFO results show that P-Fr neuron innervation occur cell autonomously.

Expression of PlexBEcTM.UAS.Tag:MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR37G12 leads to resistance to sleep deprivation, higher arousal threshold, and significantly increased locomotion of flies at night time when compared to controls. While its expression does not lead to any changes in the locomotion at day time or mechanosensory responsiveness of flies compared to control adults.

Expression of PlexBEcTM.UAS.Tag:MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR37G12 results in increased interaction of P-Fr neurons with large-field ExFl2 neurons (R84C10-positive) in layer 6 of the fan-shaped body, but no changes in the interaction with other small field neurons (R33E04- or R45F08-positive), as assessed by GRASP experiments. Optical stimulation of ExFl2 neurons (but not of other neurons (R33E04-positive)) inhibits P-Fr neuronal activity while optical stimulation of P-Fr neurons does not affect ExFl2 neurons.

Expression of plexBEcTM.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sim.PS results in the defasciculation of the MP1 pathway and of the intermediate Fas2-positive tract.

Larvae expressing plexBEcTM.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4iav.PK do not turn their heads in response to vibration, in contrast to wild-type larvae.

Expression of plexBEcTM.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in disorganisation and defasciculation of neuronal pathways in the longitudinal connectives, including the intermediate Fas2-positive tract.

Expression of plexBEcTM.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sim.PS results in defects in the intermediate Fas2-positive tract.

Expression of plexBEcTM.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4iav.PK results in defects in the central nervous system targeting shown by axons of chordotonal organs. Central nervous system longitudinal pathways are intact in these embryos.
