      Expression of MAPk-Ak2K49A.Scer\UAS under the control of either the ubiquitous driver Scer\GAL4da.G32 or the hindgut driver Scer\GAL4byn.n2 fails to rescue the "black dot" phenotype seen in MAPk-Ak2Δ43 as a result of salt stress. Expression under the control of the dorsal-hindgut expressing driver Scer\GAL4en-e16E also fails to rescue the phenotype.
