Description

The GMR promoter drives expression of a mutant form of gogo in which all of the cytoplasmic domain has been deleted apart from a short fragment of the C2 region (amino acids 982-1052). The YYD motif has been mutated to FFD.

      Comments

      Expression of gogoC2shortFFD.GMR rescues most of the phenotypes seen in gogoH1675 mutant eye clones. The medulla rotation is completely rescued, whereas the R8 targeting is only partially rescued (approximately 70% of R8 neurons target correctly).
