Modest expression of LptdsRNA.Scer\UAS in the wing disc under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 results in shortened wing veins L2 and L5 at low penetrance.

Compared with wild-type, pupal wing veins appear to be shortened in animals expressing Scer\GAL469B>LptdsRNA.Scer\UAS.

Expression of LptdsRNA.Scer\UAS in the posterior wing compartment under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in the formation of incomplete veins only in the posterior region of the wing.

Widespread expression of LptdsRNA.Scer\UAS in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa results in complete lethality, whereas knockdown without Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa or knockdown in restricted patterns produces partial lethality and a broad range of developmental defects.
