ScerGAL4^GSG5556 drives mifepristone-inducible expression primarily in neurons and glial cells. In the ventral nerve cord, moderate expression is observed in 1-2 lateral cells per hemisegment, with weak expression in an unpaired cell at the ventral midline, 2-3 cells per hemisegment at the dorsal midline, and in a few additional lateral and ventral cells. In the brain, moderate expression is observed in a few cells or cell cluster in the medial region of each hemisphere, with weak expression in a few scattered cells, tentatively identified as glial cells, throughout the brain. Weak expression is observed in the abdominal intersegmental bidendritic neuron isbp (lbd), and in the support cells of external sense organs; there may also be expression in the neurons of external sensory organs. Weak expression is observed at the neuromuscular junctions of muscles 6 and 1 in anterior segments. Weak expression is observed in PNS glia in peripheral nerves and in CNS glia in the brain.
