The abnormal dark pigmentation in the central thorax of adult flies expressing TxlNIG.5495R under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 is strongly suppressed by co-expression of Rpn11Scer\UAS.cTa (only a narrow dark stripe remains), pleKK101660 or DdcKK100293 (with the latter two, two dark narrow stripes remain at the edges of the expression domain, whereas the rest of it is slightly depigmented and of lighter color than the lateral, wild-type, parts of the thorax). The abnormal pigmentation of TxlNIG.5495R-expressing flies is also ameliorated by combination with either CG544569 or CG5445GS1003 and fully suppressed by co-expression of CG5445Scer\UAS.cUa.
