Fer1HCHUAS.cLa, Fer2LCHUAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI has viable phenotype
Fer1HCHUAS.cLa, Fer2LCHUAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI has abnormal developmental rate phenotype
Fer1HCHUAS.cLa, Fer2LCHUAS.cLa, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI has increased body size phenotype
Ubiquitous co-expresson of Fer1HCHScer\UAS.cLa and Fer2LCHScer\UAS.cLa, under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI does not generate a significant difference in viability or body weight. When these flies are grown in a nutrient-poor diet containing only 33% of the yeast present in a normal diet, these flies show improved viability (by ~20%), increased body weight (by ~10% for males and ~15% for females), and a shortened period for adult emergence (by ~4.5 days, or 18%).
Ubiquitous expression of Fer2LCHScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI rescues the first instar larval stage lethality seen in Fer2LCHneo60 and Fer2LCH00035 mutants.
