Expression of one copy of fussScer\UAS.C with Scer\GAL4A9 leads to vein truncations of L2, L5 and the posterior cross-vein at 100% penetrance, and results in a smaller wing size (75% vs controls). Expressing 2 copies of fussScer\UAS.C causes wing size reduction up to 46% and a dramatic loss of vein and intervein tissue. Stronger phenotypes become manifest in unfolded wings.

Expression of one copy of fussScer\UAS.C with Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 leads to vein truncations of L2, L5.

Expression of fussScer\UAS.C with Scer\GAL4A9 leads to loss of the campaniform sensilla on wing vein L3.

Introducing one copy of fussScer\UAS.C almost completely rescues the saxQ263D.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, Scer\GAL4A9 wing phenotype - vein formation is close to wild type.

Coexpression of fussScer\UAS.C in a MadScer\UAS.cNa, Scer\GAL4A9 background restores not only the size of the wing, but leads to a notable amelioration of the vein-intervein patterning.

Coexpression of fussScer\UAS.C restores wign shape and vein patterning of MedScer\UAS.cSa, Scer\GAL4A9 wings to an almost wild type mode, with only slight failure of complete outgrowth of L5 and the posterior crossvein.
