Expression of rgScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU rescues the rough eye phenotype of rgFDD flies.

Expression of rgScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU completely rescues the loss of immediate aversive and appetitive memory seen in rg1 flies in an olfactory conditioning assay.

Expression of rgScer\UAS.cVa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU completely rescues the loss of immediate aversive and appetitive memory seen in rgγ5 flies in an olfactory conditioning assay. If expression of rgScer\UAS.cVa is restricted to the adult stage 36 hours before the olfactory conditioning assay (using the temperature-sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele), the rescue of aversive memory is abolished.

Expression of rgScer\UAS.cVa under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 or Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 rescues the loss of immediate aversive and appetitive memory seen in rgγ5 flies in an olfactory conditioning assay.
