      Expression of dsxKK111266 under the control of Scer\GAL4A3.eya (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) in adult males results in most testes exhibiting germ cell overproliferation and arrest at early spermatogonial stages, and some testes contain small aggregates of somatic cells that resemble follicle-like cells, but these never develop into a full layer of follicle-like cells.
