Expression of Ptp61FScer\UAS.n.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF disrupts interommatidial bristle pattern and results in a mild rough-eye phenotype.

Expression of Ptp61FScer\UAS.n.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU results in a reduction in area of the 1st posterior cell of the wing to approximately 70% of that in controls. The reduction in area is due to a decrease both in cell size and in cell number.

Expression of Ptp61FScer\UAS.n.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH reduces cell proliferation in the eye disc (as assayed by BrdU incorporation), without affecting cell differentiation or apoptosis.
