Expression of Dscam1miRNA.UAS.18-20 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU, in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency, results in locomotor defects and loss of the L-shaped structure of the adult mushroom body, compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU in Dscam1ΔL homozygotes also results in loss of the L-shaped structure of the adult mushroom body, compared to controls, with 100 percent penetrance; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Pdf.PU results in a significant reduction in arborization of the adult PDF-positive ventral lateral neurons, compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4ey-OK107-mediated expression of Dscam1miRNA.Scer\UAS.18-20 causes defects in larval mushroom body lobe morphology: 68% of MBs have one huge and one skinny lobe.

Scer\GAL4ey-OK107-mediated co-expression of Dscam1miRNA.Scer\UAS.18-20 and Dscam1miRNA.Scer\UAS.19 results in 89% of MBs have one huge and one skinny lobe.
