        Third instar larvae homozygous for Mlp84BPΔ8-95 and heterozygous for tnMJO-348 exhibit disrupted striations and myofiber tearing, although the defects are not as severe as in homozygous tnMJO-348 mutants. There are fewer adult 'escapers' for Mlp84BPΔ8-95 homozygous mutants in a tnMJO-348 heterozygous background than for Mlp84BPΔ8-95 homozygous mutants alone.
