ScerGAL4^Ilp7.PC drives expression in Ilp7 expressing neurons. These neurons are positive for the following; during embryonic development, fkh and odd with the latter solely expressed during the embryonic stage, abd-A in all neurons except those embryonic neurons that express low levels of Ilp7 as adults and Abd-B in all subsets of Ilp7 neurons, albeit at lower levels in dMP2 ILP7 neuron of abdominal segment 6. In adult females, neurons terminate on the radial muscles of the oviduct and have boutons positive for VGlut1 and brp, these neurons are negative for serotonin. Adult male postmitotic neurons are positive for VGlut1 and serotonin is expressed in a subset of adult male posterior abdominal ganglion neurons that innervate the seminal vesicle.
