Expression of zfh2HMC03043 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg.PU (in combination with tub-Gal80[ts] to restrict expression to the adult stage) leads to a decrease in the cell size of both enteroblasts and intestinal stem cells, and a decrease in the nuclear size of enteroblasts in adult guts when compared to controls.
Expression of zfh2HMC03043 under the control of Scer\GAL4Su(H).GBE (in combination with tub-Gal80[ts]) leads to a decrease in the cell size, nuclear size and cell volume of enteroblasts in adult guts when compared to controls. It impairs Dextran Sulfate Sodium (DSS)-induced intestinal stem cell proliferation, prevents DSS-induced enteroblast activation (decreased cell circulatory and increased number of cells with membrane protrusions) and blocks DSS-induced enteroblast differentiation compared to control adults.
