      Expression of Cdk1Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus under the control of Scer\GAL4bam.T:Hsim\VP16 results aberrant multipolar meiotic spindles in spermatocytes and leads to partial male sterility. The spermatocytes also display centriole defects and often have more than four - suggesting that Cdk1Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus expression might induce centriole rereplication.

      Wing development is not notably affected by expression of cdc2Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus via Scer\GAL4sd.PU.

      Eye development is unaffected by expression of cdc2Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus via Scer\GAL4ey.PU.

      Scer\GAL4neur-P72-mediated expression of cdc2Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus in the sensory organ precursor cells of the zone of non-proliferating cells of the wing disc initiates mitosis in these cells, which are normally arrested in G2 phase.

      One hour after exposure to 40-Gy ionizing radiation, Scer\GAL4en.PU cdc2T14A.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus wing discs show mitotic cells in the posterior compartment, indicating a lack of normal checkpoint response.

      Scer\GAL4pros.PU-mediated expression of cdc2Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus in type I larval brain neuroblasts results in a relatively high mitotic index (after treatment with colchicine). Most of these neuroblasts have normal karyotypes with paired sister chromatids, though in ~10% of cells the sister chromatids appear to lose cohesion.
