Scer\GAL4^c527-mediated expression of Mmp2^{E258A.Scer\UAS} results an elongated ventral nerve cord. There is no loss of the ECM, but a rather wrinkled appearance.

Scer\GAL4^elav.PU-mediated expression of Mmp2^{E258A.Scer\UAS} results in aberrant ISNb morphology - defasciculation with loose bundling and ectopic branches. Scer\GAL4^repo.PU-mediated expression has similar effects but with increased penetrance.
