The climbing defects of two day old mir-1000KO2/mir-1000KO2-GAL4 adults are rescued by expression of VGlutGD834 under the control of Scer\GAL4mir-1000-KO2-GAL4. The amount of Caspase-3 positive cells in the brain is reduced, and lifespan is increased (although not to control levels).
