Detailed Description

Expression of Hsap\TBP36Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU does not cause age-dependent morphological defects in the eyes of the adult flies when compared with controls. Insoluble inclusions are not observed in the eye discs of the flies.

Flies expressing Hsap\TBP36Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU exhibit similar age-dependent loss of motor function to controls at 20 days. Motor function seems lower than controls at 40 days, but this is not statistically significant. Lifespan is significantly reduced compared to controls. Protein aggregates are not detected in the heads of flies between two days and three weeks after eclosion.

TbpsI10 does not enhance the rough eye phenotype seen in 7-week old flies when Hsap\TBP36Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.

Co-expression of TbpScer\UAS.cHa and Hsap\TBP36Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU has no effect on eye morphology.

Expression of TbpScer\UAS.cHa does not suppress the depigmentation phenotype seen in the eyes of flies expressing Hsap\TBP36Q.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.
