        The P{PZ}vasLYG2 insertion maps within the intron between the first and second exons common to vas and solo. This results in a severe reduction in the amount of vas protein produced (to approximately 2% of wild type) (see FBrf0102626). It is not known whether or not solo function is affected by the insertion ( date:2015.04.14 ).
