Third instar larvae expressing mir-124Scer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU show a significant reduction in branch length and the number of both type Ib and Is boutons at neuromuscular junction (NMJ) 6/7 compared to controls (significant differences to controls are not seen at NMJ 4).

The ddaE and ddaF dendritic arborization neurons show a significant reduction in the number of dendritic branches in third instar larvae expressing mir-124Scer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4221.

Flies expressing mir-124Scer\UAS.cWa under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU have a rough eye phenotype.
