The VT007068 enhancer fragment followed by the Drosophila synthetic core promoter (DSCP) is fused upstream of the GAL4(DBD)::Zip- hemidriver (component of the 'Split GAL4' system, contains the GAL4 DNA-binding domain).

Silencing neurons expressing Hsap\RELAAD.VT50405 and Scer\GAL4DBD.VT007068 renders virgin females sexually unreceptive to males. Elevated levels of egg laying are seen. Activating these neurons has no effect effect on virgin receptivity, but drastically increases receptivity after mating compared with controls.
Silencing Ecol\lexAVT003280-expressing neurons does not suppress the increased receptivity to males seen in mated females when SAG-1 neurons (Hsap\RELAAD.VT50405 and Scer\GAL4DBD.VT007068-expressing) have been activated.
Referred to as SAG-1 when in combination with Hsap\RELAAD.VT50405
