Scer\GAL4ple.PF/Dop2RUAS.cSa fails to rescue Dop2RΔ1
Dop2RUAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4Orco.PU fails to rescue Dop2RΔ1
Scer\GAL4GH298/Dop2RUAS.cSa fails to rescue Dop2RΔ1
Scer\GAL4GH146/Dop2RUAS.cSa fails to rescue Dop2RΔ1
Dop2RUAS.cSa/Scer\GAL4c320 fails to rescue Dop2RΔ1
The defective short-term memory (3 min) displayed by Dop2RΔ1 homozygotes in an aversive olfactory assay is fully rescued by expression of Dop2RScer\UAS.cSa under the control of either Scer\GAL4elav.PU or Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 (together with tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the expression to adult stage) in the mutant background.
The decrease in 3 hr olfactory memory due to reduced amnestic cooling resistant memory component also observed in the Dop2RΔ1 mutants is rescued by expression of Dop2RScer\UAS.cSa under the control of any of the following: Scer\GAL4Mef2.247, Scer\GAL417d or Scer\GAL4NP1131, whereas expression under any of these drivers: Scer\GAL4ple.PF, Scer\GAL4Orco.PU, Scer\GAL4GH298, Scer\GAL4GH146, Scer\GAL4c320 has no effect on the mutant phenotype.
