dbohenji-1/dbohenji-8 mutant larval neuromuscular junctions display an increase in satellite boutons (which are small boutons that emerge from large parental boutons), and the number of boutons with normal size is slightly reduced, and these mutants also exhibit enlargement of the postsynaptic densities, as compared to controls.
