      Vha557e1 homozygous flies expressing Vha55Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PU (rescue flies) are viable and their Malphigian tubules show normal resting secretion rates but reduced maximum stimulation fluid secretion.
