The expression of Myd88VDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4c564 blocks the normal inflammatory response to Gram-positive bacterial infection (assessed by the expression levels of Drosomycin), but has no significant effect in basal (non-infected) conditions, as compared to controls.

The decrease in the number of cells within the Scer\GAL4Myd88-NP6394 driver's expression domain in the pupal ventral nerve cord (assayed using a nuclear histone-reporter) observed upon expression of wekScer\UAS.ORF.GW.T:Ivir\HA1 is exacerbated further by co-expression of Myd88VDRC.cUa.

The apoptosis observed in dlg1A40.2 mutant wing disc tumors is virtually abrogated by the expression of Myd88VDRC.cUa under the control of either Scer\GAL4ppl.PP, Scer\GAL4Cg.PA or Scer\GAL4Lsp2.PH.
