Replacement of the endogenous Dlish locus with a Disc\RFPDsRed.3xP3.cUa marker.
The coding region of Dlish has been replaced with a Disc\RFPDsRed.3xP3.cUa marker.
wing (with Df(2R)BSC347)
Dlishc homozygotes and Dlishc/Df(2R)BSC347 transheterozygotes exhibit significant decreases in total wing area, wing inter-crossvein distance and tarsal length, which is associated with the occasional presence of only four tarsal segments, as compared to controls. Under both these allelic combinations, some hair orientation defects are observed at the proximal anterior wing region and, less severely, at the posterior dorsal abdomen, as compared to controls.
Dlishc has abnormal size phenotype, non-enhanceable by ftG-rv/ftG-rv
Dlishc has abdominal tergite marginal bristle phenotype, non-enhanceable by ftG-rv/ftG-rv
Homozygosity for Dlishc suppresses the lethality of ftG-rv homozygotes, although adults are recovered at only about one third of the expected frequency.
The small wing area phenotype and mild abdomen hair orientation defects observed in Dlishc single homozygotes are not exacerbated by additional ftG-rv homozygosity.
DlishT:Avic\GFP-EGFP rescues all the phenotypes observed in Dlishc homozygotes - i.e. the decreases in wing area, in inter-crossvein distance and in tarsal length, and the mild hair orientation defects in the proximal anterior wing.
