Df(1)su(s)R194-heterozygous clones in the larval eye disc are outcompeted by neighboring clones that also harbor RpL36+t4); this phenotype is not suppressed by either two copies of RpS12+t2 alone or in combination with RpS12s2783 homozygosity.

The following genotypes exhibit a minute-like developmental delay phenotype as compared to controls: Df(1)su(s)R194/+, RpS12s2783/RpS12s2783, RpS12+t2.

In Df(2R)BSC865 or M(2)56FH single heterozygous larval wing discs, clones bearing two copies of RpS12+t2 are severely outcompeted by otherwise wild-type neighboring clones, as shown by their decreased clone size. The increased cell death observed in M(2)56FH-heterozygous larval wing discs is enhanced within clones bearing two copies of RpS12+t2, but only near the clone boundary.
