The disrupted formation of the presumptive posterior crossvein (assessed by p-Mad staining) in the pupal wing observed in animals expressing Gyc76CVDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU is rescued by co-expression of TimpScer\UAS.cPa but it also leads to aberrant accumulations of the extracellular matrix. Co-expression of Mmp2dsRNA.Scer\UAS but not Mmp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS also rescues the pupal wing disc phenotypes, although the Mmp2dsRNA.Scer\UAS,Gyc76CVDRC.cUa double knock-down larvae and pupae are occasionally unhealthy-looking and those individuals also have pupal wings of poor morphology.

The widening of the wing vein L5 characteristic for adult flies expressing dppScer\UAS.cUa.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.3.7XK is partially suppressed by co-expression of Gyc76CVDRC.cUa.

The loss of posterior crossvein observed in adult flies expressing sogScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU is rescued by co-expression of Gyc76CVDRC.cUa.

The widening of the posterior crossvein observed in the wings of adult flies expressing trolGS7407 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU is suppressed by co-expression of Gyc76CVDRC.cUa (which on its own disrupts posterior crossvein development) and results in fairly normal crossvein but the wings display significant blistering.
