Knockdown of Mmp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4Act.PU causes a reduction in egg laying compared to wild type.

Expression of Mmp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the simultaneous control of both Scer\GAL4bab1-Agal4-5 and Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to limit expression to the adult stage) has no effect on the average number of cells in the interfollicle stalks.

Expression of Mmp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS does not perturb wing disc:tracheal association and dorsal air sac primordium growth.

Expression of Mmp1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS results in constrictions and breaks in the dorsal trunk.
