Description

The Mi{MIC} RMCE cassette in Mi{MIC}mengMI03008 is replaced with a multi-tag cassette (linker-EGFP-FIAsH-StrepII-3xFlag-linker) in-frame with the meng coding sequence, resulting in expression of an internally-tagged meng-EGFP-meng fusion protein.

The RMCE cassette of the Mi{MIC}CG11221MI03008 insertion has been replaced with a EGFP-FlAsH-StrepII-TEV-3xFlag multi-tag cassette. The insertion is in a coding intron of CG11221 and is predicted to protein trap the gene. The insertion is also within CG44271, not in a coding intron, and is not predicted to protein trap this gene.

mengMI03008-GFSTF.1 do not show defects in lifespan or in olfactory learning/memory, as compared to controls. Adults depleted of mengMI03008-GFSTF.1 in the mushroom body by the expression of slmbUAS.vhhGFP4 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 for 3 days show a significant decrease in 3h and 24h olfactory memory, but not in olfactory learning, upon an olfactory aversive conditioning assay, as compared to controls; however, there are no effects in residual olfactory memory upon cold-shock, as compared to controls.
