Ret^ko and Ret^ko/Df(2L)BSC312 third instar larval C4da neurons exhibit a less complex dendrite tree (i.e. reduced coverage, shorter dendrites with less branches, less terminals but more isoneuronal dendritic crossings, and increased proportion of detached dendrites), as compared to controls; Ret^ko mutants also show decreased dendritic growth, as compared to controls.
