Adults expressing DiedelUAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4Act88F.1.3 or Scer\GAL4Cg.PA do not show changes in feeding behavior compared to controls.

Scer\GAL4Act88F.1.3-driven expression also results in: the adult midgut showing: significantly lower increases in mitosis during aging or in response to Ecc15 bacterial infection than in controls; the adult midgut not showing the age-dependent increase in apoptosis normally observed in controls; Ecc15-infected individuals showing a significantly higher bacterial burden in the midgut than similarly infected controls; adult midgut clones showing significantly fewer cells than clones in controls individuals.

Scer\GAL4Cg.PA-driven expression also leads to the adult midgut not showing the age-dependent increase in apoptosis normally observed in controls.

Scer\GAL4ppl.PP-driven expression does not significantly affect the apoptosis in the adult midgut (in 30-days old adults), as compared to controls.

Adulthood-only expression under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.Switch.PK and RU486 feeding leads to a RU486 concentration-dependent changes in in lifespan: 20mM increases; 50mM, 100mM or 200mM decrease.
