Description

The promoter and 5' regulatory sequences of Hel25E (673 bp) are fused with the Hel25E cDNA, without the stop codon (1270 bp). GFP is fused to the 3' of the cDNA followed by 1255 bp of the Hel25E 3' UTR.

      During oogenesis, Hel25EGFP is mainly nuclear but is also present in substantial quantities in the cytoplasm. During early embryogenesis, it is localized with DNA. At preblastoderm stages, it is associated with the fusome during metaphase. At the syncytial blastoderm stage, Hel25EGFP is nuclear with an accumulation at the basal pole of the nuclei at the same location as euchromatin.
