      nktL2-11 homozygotes show a significant decrease in night-time sleep, and a slight increase in day-time 'siesta'; there is a significant increase in sleep latency and fragmented sleep during night-time, with significantly more but shorter sleep bouts. Under constant light or dark conditions, sleep is still reduced, as compared to controls.
