UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of the CIBN(ΔNLS) heterodimerization sequence, tagged at the C-terminal end with EGFP followed by a plasma membrane localization tag (Tag:PM(hKRAS)). CIBN(ΔNLS) heterodimerizes with the N-terminal photolyase homology region (PHR) of the Arabidopsis thaliana CRY2 gene upon exposure to blue light, and thus the expressed protein can be used to recruit any protein tagged with a compatible heterodimerization sequence (containing the CRY2 PHR domain) to the plasma membrane in a light-dependent manner.
