      twym2/twym2, twym2/Df(3L)ED4470, twym2/Df(3L)BSC676 and twym2/Df(3L)BSC727 adults show held-out wings, are uncoordinated and fail to show climbing ability. Testis appear fragile.

      The third instar larval neuromuscular junction exhibits increased frequency of spontaneous excitatory events. twym2/twym2 larvae show decreased crawling speed, only covering short distances, frequently pausing and curling into a ball or adopting a 'C'-shape rather than changing direction; these larvae show decreased touch response.
