The entire CDS region and endogenous 3' untranslated region of acs has been deleted and replaced by a 'Gal4-RFP' cassette containing ribosome binding sequences, GAL4 coding sequences, SV40 polyA terminator, and 3xP3-RFP as a selection marker (surrounded by excisable loxP sites).
