Expression of Psn^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa} under the control of Scer\GAL4^how-24B leads to a significantly reduced heart rate and age-dependent increase in end-diastolic vertical dimensions. Flies exhibit irregular heartbeat rhythms accompanied by cardiomyofibril defects and mitochondrial impairment.

Expression of Psn^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa} driven by Scer\GAL4^ptc-559.1 leads to loss of the anterior crossvein, with normal intervein cells between the L3 and L4 vein.
