Description

The POLDIP2 coding region has been replaced with sequence that encodes 1. an FRT cassette containing a SV40 transcription termination sequence, and 2. the Ecol\ExoIII exonuclease, tagged with a Tag:Mito(Cs1) mitochondrial targeting sequence. This results in a conditional allele in which Tag:Mito(Cs1)-tagged Ecol\ExoIII is only expressed (under the control of endogenous POLDIP2 regulatory sequences) if the FRT cassette is excised using FLP recombinase.
